Narrower heel
Women’s feet often have a narrower heel relative to the forefoot.
DESIGNED FOR HER
Why we started with grip socks.
RTMO was created around one belief: women and girls in football deserve products that start with them. Grip socks were simply the first place we chose to begin.
BUILT AROUND THE FOOT
Women’s feet are not just smaller men’s feet.
On average, female feet can differ from male feet in shape, width and proportions. That can affect how a sock fits inside a football boot — especially when the sock is built around a broad unisex standard.
THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE SHAPE
Different proportions. Different fit.
A narrower heel, different forefoot proportions, arch characteristics and pressure distribution can all influence how a sock sits around the foot. These differences vary from player to player, but they are exactly why unisex should not automatically be the starting point.
Different forefoot shape
The relationship between heel, midfoot and forefoot can differ in proportion.
Different arch
Foot-arch characteristics and how the foot loads can vary.
Different pressure distribution
Pressure under the foot can be distributed differently during movement.
WHY FIT MATTERS
It matters inside a football boot.
A grip sock only works well when the sock itself fits well. If there is too much loose fabric, the sock can fold, bunch or move inside the boot. RTMO Grip Socks were developed around women’s and girls’ feet to create a closer fit around the foot while maintaining grip, breathability and comfort for training and match day.
THE FIRST RTMO PRODUCT
The first product. Not the last.
RTMO was never meant to be just a sock brand. Grip socks were our starting point because fit is something you feel with every sprint, turn and change of direction. From here, RTMO will continue developing football essentials with women and girls as the starting point.
